Welcome to Roundhouse Toy Train Repair. We specialize in cleaning, lubricating and repairs of model toy trains.

Maintaining engines, rolling stock and accessories allows you to enjoy running trains more often. Don’t leave them in a box because they don’t work well. Send them to me and let’s get them back on track.

General clean and lubricate service:

We tear down the engine and rolling stock. Clean any dirt, wrapped up hairs around the gears or any other gunk. Grease and lubricate gears, axles and any parts that move. Wires that are broke, frayed or not attached, will be fixed or replaced. Gently clean the wheels, trucks, chassis and shells and reassemble. This is for all gauges.

HO scale extra services:

We can adjust height of couplers.

Replace plastic one with better quality couplers.

Adding weight to NMRA recommended practices.

Lighter and heavier cars pulling on each other is one reason for derailments. Having all cars with standard weights, will help reduce this chance. (Proper track maintenance and good joinery will also help reduce derailments)

Plastic Wheels sets can be replaced with high quality metal that roll super smooth

We are starting to venture into older accessories for cleaning, lubricating and rewiring.

Generalized Pricing

Basic clean, lubricate would be $2.50-5.00 per car.
Basic clean and lube engines $5.00-10.00
Weight $.25 per 1/2 ounce

For all services, extra parts, bulbs or other necessary items will be discussed with customer prior to purchasing.
